‘Bike the Bloom’ is returning as a feature of the Bainbridge in Bloom Garden Tour this year. What better way to soak in a beautiful summer weekend than by pedaling from one majestic garden to another along the island’s winding wooded byways?
Cycling route maps will be provided and bike racks will be available at each garden. The full cycling route between all six gardens is 13.1 miles long and includes 1,120 feet of elevation gain. But biking the tour route is more than just great exercise: it cuts down on traffic, reduces congestion in tour parking areas, and is the most ecologically friendly way to experience Bainbridge in Bloom!
Bike The Bloom tickets are offered at a discounted rate of $25 and must be purchased in person at the Bloom Hub.
Island cycleries are offering awesome specials to help get you biking the bloom! Classic Cycles and Bike Barn Rentals will both offer rental bikes for the Bike The Bloom at a discounted rate of $25.00 for a full day. Classic Cycles recommends reserving bikes ahead of time – first come, first served. Call 206-842-9191 for reservations and information. The Bike Barn is located next to the Bainbridge Island Ferry terminal and opens for the season on June 1, but information and reservations can be made ahead of time at bikebarnrentals.com. Bainbridge Island Outfitters + Depot (BIO+D) will offer 2-for-1 rentals on bikes, e-bikes and SUPs (Stand-Up Paddle boards) during the Bloom weekend for ticket holders.
