A young poet reads at Poetry Corners LIVE! 2018

Each April from 1999 to 2018, Arts & Humanities Bainbridge brought the Poetry Corners program to Bainbridge Island. Beginning in 2019, we’ve handed the organization of this program over to a team of passionate community volunteers, although we remain its fiscal sponsor. Poetry Corners is a celebration of National Poetry Month that has for decades provided an opportunity for local poets to share their work with their community. The programs annual competition solicits submissions from poets across Bainbridge Island and Kitsap County; winning selections are put on display in storefronts around Winslow and poets share their work at a live reading event called Poetry Corners LIVE!
